The She-Wolf is not just a place to spend the night, but a guest house where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. You wake up among greenery and flowers, taste dishes cooked from recipes of our own garden and farm, and enjoy the quiet, the pool and the corners for rest, surrounded by flowers, trees, birds and animals.
The guest house sits in Madzharovo, in the crater of an extinct volcano, above the meanders of the river Arda. The grounds step down in flowering levels — gardens, parks, pergolas and gazebos, a garden with peacocks and parrots.
The cool of summer comes from the crystal-clear water of the pool, from the jungle shade of grown exotic plants and from the iced drinks at the stone bar.
Four different places in one yard. Each leads to its own section.
We are a guest house in the countryside, built with a lot of work, love and personal care. If you are looking for hotel service, a 24/7 reception and a sterile hotel setting — this is probably not your place.
But if you want to escape the noise, to wake up surrounded by green, to eat real home cooking and to feel like guests rather than a room number — you are welcome.
Good food is eaten in minutes, but a real taste is remembered for a long time.
The salad is picked in the morning. The tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and herbs come from our own beds and greenhouses. The fruit is from our own trees.
So the menu changes with whatever has ripened. And that is why the taste stays with you.
